Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Based in Hardeeville, South Carolina, you'll work in a dynamic environment, sharing responsibility for salon cleanliness and operations.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), work in wet/hairy conditions with moderate to high noise. Exposure to live animals is daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming menu and standalone services per standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and sell merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions, reservations, check-in/out, and records.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; address pet health issues promptly.
- Promote salon growth and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
- Prior grooming or PetSmart Salon Academy certification required.
- Computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling.
- Strong organization, communication, and safety focus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products, drive salon sales
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and report sick/injured pets
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies
