Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Harlingen, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, engage pet parents, and uphold PetSmart's vision of exceptional pet care. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness, pet health, and safety while driving sales and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
- Greet pet parents, manage appointments, conduct check-in/out, and maintain client records.
- Recommend wellness solutions, promote merchandise/services, and achieve salon sales targets.
- Ensure salon sanitation via daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning checklists.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
