Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Harrisburg, PA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold PetSmart's vision by maintaining cleanliness, pet health, and safety standards in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services like bathing, brushing, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care.
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions and promote merchandise/services for salon growth.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists and respond to pet health issues, including vet transport.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Exposure to pets, noise, and wet conditions common.
