Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines grooming expertise with customer service, salon maintenance, and sales to uphold our high standards of pet health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness, humane pet conditions, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet environments.
