Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) at our Hawthorne, CA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions
- Drive salon sales through recommendations and merchandise promotion
- Handle check-in/out procedures and respond to pet health emergencies
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must have computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and merchandise
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
- Assist with sales targets and other store departments as needed
