Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds PetSmart’s vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, and promote sales to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond swiftly to pet health issues.
- Handle check-ins/outs, client records, reminder calls, and rebookings for seamless service.
- Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart’s culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, computer proficiency, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-filled environments.

Responsibilities

- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products while managing check-in/out procedures
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and handle sick/injured pets immediately
- Drive salon sales through promotions and rebooking appointments
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies
