Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds cleanliness, safety standards, and drives salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; respond to pet health issues.
- Promote sales to meet targets; assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and lift 50+ lbs. Flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays essential. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and animal handling in a moderate-noise, pet-hair environment.
