Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Based in High Point, North Carolina, this role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement and salon operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to drive sales.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily maintenance.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
