Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales to uphold our vision of best-in-class pet care. Located in Hiram, Georgia, you'll work in a dynamic retail environment focused on pet health, safety, and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services, and drive salon sales to meet targets.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, humane pet conditions, and immediate response to sick/injured pets.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy, noisy environments with reasonable accommodations available.
