Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Hoffman Estates, IL location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds PetSmart’s vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage reservations/check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to store metrics.
Experience & Skills
Requires prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
