Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon operations, and sales to uphold our high standards of pet health, safety, and satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care following PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on pet needs, recommend wellness products, and drive salon sales to meet targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, client records, and reminder calls for seamless service.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond immediately to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments and embody our culture of recognition and inclusion.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-filled environments. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
