Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales contributions in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness, pet safety; respond to health issues including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training completion plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and manage flexible schedules including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy environments.
