Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds cleanliness, safety, and company standards while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Drive sales by promoting services/merchandise and achieving targets.
- Respond to pet health issues and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments.
