Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional grooming services while ensuring pet health, safety, and outstanding customer experiences. This full-time role in our Houston store involves hands-on pet care, client interactions, and salon operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
• Handle reservations, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Uphold salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must possess computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
