Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service to drive salon success and pet parent satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Manage pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily maintenance checklists; respond to sick/injured pets.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and promote company culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
