Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Houston, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and thrive in a fast-paced environment upholding PetSmart's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and rebookings.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations, merchandise upsells, and achieving productivity targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Greet clients, handle inquiries, and assist across departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/hair/noise; reasonable accommodations available.
