Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Houston, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats. Engage pet parents, ensure pet health and safety, and drive salon success while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role offers flexibility and rewards passion for pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming services: bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care per standards.
• Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and sell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
• Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, questions, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Identify and act on sick/injured pets, assist other departments, follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.
