Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Houston, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and thrive in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions, recommend merchandise/services to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold highest cleanliness/sanitation; perform daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.
