Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Houston, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Manage salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/water/noise.
