Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time position with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness/sanitation; monitor pet health and transport to vet if needed.
- Collaborate across departments and uphold company policies for a safe, welcoming environment.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6+ months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in high-pressure settings, possess computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
