Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. You'll uphold our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in our Huntington Beach location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues by transporting to vets if needed.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to a welcoming store culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
