Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Recommend wellness solutions and promote merchandise/services to boost salon sales.
• Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and consultations.
• Maintain salon sanitation through daily cleaning and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), strong organization, attention to safety, and excellent communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
