Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Huntsville, Alabama store, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats. Engage pet parents, ensure pet health and safety, and contribute to salon success through exceptional grooming and customer service. This role offers flexibility and rewards passion for pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and upsell merchandise/services.
- Handle pet parent interactions, reservations, check-ins, and records.
- Maintain salon cleanliness and report sick/injured pets immediately.
- Drive salon sales and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Must lift 50+ lbs, work flexible hours including evenings/weekends, and thrive in a pet-filled environment.
Physical Demands
Expect standing, lifting, exposure to pet hair, noise, and wet conditions. Depth perception and team lifting for heavier pets required.
