Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll handle full grooming menus, maintain salon standards, and contribute to store success through sales and safety. This dynamic role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced pet environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in wet/hairy conditions with moderate-high noise. Depth perception and composure under pressure essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute bath, brush, grooming, nail trims, sanitary services per standards.
- Consult pet parents on wellness solutions, promote merchandise/services to hit sales targets.
- Manage appointments: greet, check-in/out, rebook, reminder calls, records.
- Uphold cleanliness/sanitation; address sick pets immediately, transport to vet if needed.
- Assist departments, follow policies, foster inclusive culture.
Experience & Skills
- Prior grooming or PetSmart Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation pass.
- Computer proficiency, strong communication/organization.
- Pet safety focus, sales drive, flexibility for variable shifts.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products, drive salon sales
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and report sick/injured pets
- Assist other departments and uphold company policies
