Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Ithaca, NY location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage reservations, check-ins/outs, and client records.
- Promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets and enhance pet parent satisfaction.
- Maintain salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy (6 months Stylist in Training). Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
