Role Overview

PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service, salon operations, and sales to uphold our vision of best-in-class pet care in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise, and drive salon sales targets.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records while delivering outstanding service.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, pet safety, and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
• Flexibly assist other store departments and participate in team recognition initiatives.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong communication, organizational skills, and schedule flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair/wet environments.
