Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, this role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement to uphold our vision of outstanding pet care.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and teeth brushing per company standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services, and drive salon sales to meet targets.
• Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out, and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
• Collaborate across departments and follow all policies for a safe, welcoming environment.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Must handle physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in a pet-filled environment with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
