Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision of superior grooming while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sales excellence in a fast-paced store setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records; greet and assist customers.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
