Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service, salon management, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Uphold PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while maintaining the highest cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services, and drive salon sales targets.
• Handle check-in/out procedures, reservations, client records, and reminder communications.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy, noisy environments.
