Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Kansas City, Missouri location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness, pet health, and safety while upholding PetSmart's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and upsell merchandise/services.
- Handle pet parent interactions, reservations, check-ins, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Drive sales targets and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products
- Manage salon check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
- Drive salon sales and achieve productivity targets
