Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations and promotions.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene and respond to pet health issues.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, and client communications effectively.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, strong communication, and organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in a pet-filled environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care
- Engage pet parents, recommend services, and manage appointments and check-ins
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and handle sick/injured pets
- Promote sales, achieve targets, and upsell merchandise
- Assist other departments and follow company policies
