Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Kennesaw, Georgia location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service and sales to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, and promote services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Maintain salon cleanliness per checklists, monitor pet health, and assist with emergencies including vet transport.
- Handle check-in/out procedures, client records, reminder calls, and deliver outstanding in-person/phone service.
- Flexibly support other store departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
