Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and commitment to cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time position in Kentwood, MI, with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), work in wet/hairy conditions with moderate-high noise and live animal exposure. Depth perception and composure under pressure required.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook services.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and salon promotions to meet sales goals.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene and respond to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- Prior grooming experience or PetSmart Salon Academy certification.
- Computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills.
- Flexibility for varied shifts; safety-focused mindset.
