Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments
- Handle check-in/out procedures, client records, and salon promotions
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation and respond to pet health issues
- Drive sales through merchandise recommendations and productivity targets
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must thrive under pressure, communicate effectively, and handle physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs in a pet-filled environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.

- Capacity to lift 50+ lbs and handle physical demands (experience)
- Strong written/verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
- Promote salon sales and achieve productivity targets
- Assist with sick/injured pets and other store duties
