Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health, safety, and cleanliness standards. This dynamic role in our Kitchener store combines hands-on pet care with customer interaction to drive salon success and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and sell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
• Manage pet parent experience: greet, answer questions, handle reservations, check-in/out, rebooking, and reminder calls.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, monitor pet health, and transport sick pets to vets as needed.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months in PetSmart's Salon Academy with certification. Must have computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
