Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon operations, and sales growth while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and pet welfare.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care following PetSmart protocols.
• Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive salon sales targets.
• Handle check-in/out procedures, client records, reminder calls, and rebooking to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain salon sanitation through daily cleaning checklists and ensure humane conditions for all pets.
• Respond promptly to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have prior grooming experience or 6 months as a PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing, stooping, and working in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
