Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in Lake Elsinore, CA, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensure pet health and safety, and build lasting relationships with pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and rebookings.
- Drive salon sales through product recommendations and service promotions to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart’s 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
