Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Lake Wales, Florida store, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats. Engage pet parents, ensure pet safety, and drive salon success while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. This role offers flexibility and impact in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per company standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-ins/check-outs, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Monitor pet health, take immediate action for sick/injured pets, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
