Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) at our Lakewood, NY location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. Uphold PetSmart's vision by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and driving salon success through exceptional service and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily cleaning, and ensure pet safety.
- Promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets; assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays; physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work in pet environments.
