Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Lancaster, PA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and uphold PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and rebookings.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations and merchandise promotion to meet targets.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, and animal handling.
