Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales to uphold our vision of pet health and happiness. Located in Laredo, Texas, you'll thrive in a dynamic retail environment focused on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care following PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products, and promote salon growth to meet sales targets.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness, pet safety, and immediate action on health issues, including vet transport if needed.
• Assist other store departments and participate in our inclusive culture.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-filled environments. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required, with strong organization and safety focus.
