Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll handle full grooming menus, maintain salon standards, and contribute to store success through sales and safety protocols in our Largo location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute bath, brush, grooming, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart procedures.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Manage appointments: greet clients, handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness, pet health/safety; report and transport sick pets as needed.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and participate in team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet areas.
