Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Las Cruces, NM location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement and salon operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs and recommend wellness solutions.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and sales register duties.
- Maintain salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues.
- Drive sales through merchandise promotion and service upselling.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication skills, and ability to lift 50+ lbs. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and working in a pet-filled environment.
