Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision through expert grooming, safety standards, and customer engagement in a fast-paced Las Vegas store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and upsell services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and consultations.
- Maintain salon cleanliness via daily maintenance checklists and end-of-day protocols.
- Monitor pet health; transport sick/injured pets to vet as needed and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
