Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon operations, and pet safety. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on pet needs, recommend wellness products, and drive salon sales to meet targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Participate in store culture, follow policies, and assist other departments as required.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have prior grooming experience or 6 months in PetSmart's Salon Academy with certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy environments with live animals.
