Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll uphold our vision for pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products/services to boost sales targets.
- Handle reservations, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize with safety focus. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
