Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per company standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions.
- Drive sales through merchandise/service recommendations to meet targets.
- Respond to pet health issues and assist across departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in high-pressure settings, possess computer proficiency, organizational skills, and flexible scheduling for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a dynamic environment.
