Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This hands-on role in our Leduc store combines technical grooming skills with customer engagement to uphold our vision of premier pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products, and drive salon sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon hygiene through daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning checklists.
- Monitor pet health, respond to emergencies by transporting to vets if needed, and assist other store areas.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize efficiently. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing extensively, working in wet/hair-filled environments with moderate-to-high noise and live animals. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
