Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist), you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with sales, client management, and salon maintenance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products, and upsell services to meet sales goals.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Uphold salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health emergencies.
• Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart's culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy, noisy environments.
