Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This full-time role in our Lethbridge store demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and flexibility in a dynamic pet care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Drive salon sales through merchandise/service promotions to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane pet conditions; respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must possess computer skills, strong communication, organizational prowess, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/noisy areas with live animals. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
